Location
Maldives is a country ( Republic of Maldives ) and archipelagic state in South Asia in the Indian Ocean. The Maldives is located southwest of Sri Lanka and India. The Maldives' chain of 26 atolls stretches across the equator from Ihavandhippolhu Atoll in the North to Addu Atoll in the South.

Weather
Maldives is a year-round summer place with temperatures 25-32 Degree Celsius. Even the water is warm and comfortable with a temperature of 28-30 Degree Celsius.

There are two seasons in the Maldives, the dry season (Peak) and the rainy season (Low).
Dry season: December - April
Rainy season: May - November

Culture
Maldives is 100% Muslim country. The Islamic Law applied to the Maldives.
There are specific dressing regulations on the local island in respect to the culture.
No alcohol and pork (products) are allowed to be imported to Maldives without special licenses and permits. Therefore you will not be able to find alcohol on the local island. However, you may enjoy alcohol and pork in resorts permitted by the government.
